our Calling
Our Life Spreading the Word of God
Jim Schulz grew up in a minister’s home and knew from an early age that he would one day be in the ministry himself. In 1966, he met Linda Coovert at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Muncie, Indiana. They were married the following year, August 1967 (a year filled with MANY letters and phone calls). They pastored in Punta Gorda, Florida for two years following their marriage, at which time the Lord led them into Alaskan missions.

Alaska Missions
In 1985, Jim was asked to serve as Alaska Field Coordinator basing his ministry in Anchorage, the transportation center for the State. During the years 1985 to 2001, Jim worked with the Alaska Superintendents developing mission programs in Alaska. In 2001, Jim was asked to develop and direct Alaska’s Church Planting movement. Its purpose was to help Alaska reach its unreached people. He was also interim president of Far North Bible College for two years while he was Field Coordinator.
